THE WAYS OF LAW

Law refers to the rules of conduct and mandates a form of behavior. There are more than one types of law, including statutory law and case law. Statutory law is a written or codified law "law on the books". Then there is case law which has a judicial presence, in addition there is also common law. Common law is self explanatory in a way it is just present and is not mandated to be written.

There is a never ending list of what laws are there for. They maintain order, enforce many moral beliefs, promote social order, and most importantly to identify wrong doers. There is a rule behind law to maintain justice, the purpose is to govern based upon established principles that apply to all.
You may not agree with these laws but in the words of John F Kennedy "Americans are free to disagree with the law, but not disobey it"
